Silent Samaritan

Silent Samaritan Campaign (March-May, 2022)

In 2021, 43% of Samaritan’s clients qualified as low income, underinsured, or uninsured.

The Silent Samaritan Campaign is the fundraiser that replenishes our Samaritan Fund. The Samaritan Fund was created to provide low income, underinsured, or uninsured adults access to mental health care at Samaritan. Our agency cannot meet the needs of these individuals without generous ongoing support. Invest in the Silent Samaritan Campaign, then join us for our Silent Samaritan Thank You Celebration.

Assistant Chief of Police Polly Olson will be sworn in as Appleton’s first female Police Chief in early January after the retirement of Chief Todd Thomas. In her 21 years serving the Appleton Police Department, Olson has held a variety of positions, such as patrol officer, school resource officer, lieutenant, patrol captain, captain of investigations and support services, and assistant chief.

When asked about her new endeavor, Olson said, “I am honored to serve as the first female Chief of Police for the City of Appleton. I am excited to continue to build on our foundation of excellence in police service and am committed to strengthening community relationships through our continued neighborhood policing efforts. Thank you to the City of Appleton for allowing me the opportunity to serve in this new capacity.”

We are thrilled that Polly will deliver the keynote message at our Silent Samaritan Thank You Luncheon Celebration on March 18, 2023. Check back for more details, including registration information.
